Has it ever snowed in Brisbane

The idea of snow in Brisbane may seem like a far-fetched fantasy to many, but history tells us that it is not entirely impossible. While the subtropical climate of this Australian city typically brings warm temperatures and sunny days, there have been rare instances where flurries have graced the skies.

It seems a handful of witnesses witnessed a very light snow shower at around 5:15 p.m. in Taringa and three other suburbs on 21 September 1958, when the Bureau of Meteorology last recorded snowfall in Brisbane.

So while it may be unlikely for Brisbane to experience regular snowfall, never say never. Mother Nature has proven time and time again that she is full of surprises. Who knows what the future holds for this sunny city?
